Brett's Birthday Party - 7 Years Old!
Brett didn't actually turn seven today but we had his party early because his real birthday (11/28) is the day after Thanksgiving and we were worried that nobody would be able to come. Brett had five friends (plus Abbie and Sam) at his party. We went bowling, ate cake and had lots of fun. As you can see from the before and after pictures of our guests, the spike in blood sugar from the cake and root beer made everyone a little bit psycho! There was no serious damage so we consider the party to be a success!

Brett's Bible Presentation and Cake Auction
Brett had a big day today. He was presented with his bible at church day and had a great time at the cake auction (Boy Scouts). Brett's cake was purchased by the Mayor of Cedar Falls (the honorable Mayor Crews) for $8. Brett bought a bunny rabbit cake for $5. A great deal considering that some of the cakes went for almost $50. Dad was happy.

Abbie's Performance at the Festival of Trees
Abbie played her new song today (Walk in a Rainbow) at the Festival of Trees. This festival is held at the Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center at UNI each year. The kids also got to see Santa Claus.

First Post - Heritage Farms, UNI Football and Halloween 2008
We had a busy month of October. We went with our church to Heritage Farms again. We always have fun riding horses, playing games etc. Robin and Brett got to watch a UNI football game from the sidelines as Robin was chosen to be the honorary faculty sideline coach. They had a great time. We also had an awesome Halloween this year. Abbie was Scooby Doo. Her and several friends went as the entire Scooby Doo cast. They even had a Mystery Machine (sorry no picture). Brett went as the black Spiderman and Sam was the cartoon version of Bumblee the transformer. We carved pumpkins and did trick-or-treating on Main Street in Cedar Falls with the Hoffman family. Take care.
